Conversations with the Mouse ~ on the road.

Yesterday the Mouse, the Froggy and I drove to Tyler and back for my BFF’s kiddo’s joint birthday party. For those of you not familiar with the Texas roadmap, it’s about a 2 – 2.5 hour drive each way from DFW to Tyler. I *tried* to plan the trip so they would sleep {nap} on the way out and back, but they both had other ideas. The Froggy pretty much screamed there and back and the Mouse talked my ear off. Here are a couple of the conversations the Mouse had {with me and himself}.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Mouse: Mommy, I really want to go to Star Wars.
Me: Oh yeah, kiddo? Well, Star Wars is in outer space, so you’ll have to grow up to be an astronaut if you want to go there.
Mouse: I’m going to be an astronaut when I get big!
Me: That’s great kiddo! You’ll have to study really hard in school, and learn lots for a long time. Only really smart people get to be astronauts.
*pause*
Mouse: Well, there are lot’s of people in Star Wars outer space. And some of them have light-savers … and I have a light-saver too, so that means I can be an astronaut and go to outer space too!
Me: I don’t even know how to argue that, kiddo.

Mouse: I like cars. I like trees. I like doggies and budderflies. I like big trucks. I like baby brudder. I like singing.
*pause*
Mouse: THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND!!!….
