You know what the biggest lesson I learned from BlogHer12 was?
Oh yeah, I’m a girl. I kind like getting my hair/nails done. I like spending money on pretty clothes. SHOES – oh yeah, I like those!
In short, I remembered that I’m a twenty-something thirty-year-old FEMALE. In fact, I’m the only damn female in this house. And as such, I feel entitled to look pretty. That means that this Fall, I am going to be beefing up MY wardrobe. The state of my collection of jeans and sweaters is a disaster. Not to mention my boots. And my ‘comfy’ clothes? That stuff is WORN OUT. I am determined that I will NOT be ‘frumpy mommy’ this year. I will keep up with my hair, I will keep up with fashion, I will keep up with MYSELF.
This is not to say I am going to go out and spend gobs of money on myself, but I’m also going to let myself buy a pair of $30 jeans if I need it, know what I mean? And so what did I do? I went out and started a ‘Fall 2012′ board on Pinterest.
But wait! I *also* went and made a super cool BRITE from Britely.com – which is way fun to play with and make collections of photos/ideas to share with people {learned about this little gem at BlogHer12 as well!}. Check out my very first Brite:
Please note: credit for all photos and they’re origins can be found through my actual Pinterest board.
Of course, all of this is a completely moot point since it will still be Summer up until the beginning of November. Texas drives me absolutely crazy this time of year. Is there something you think I should be adding to my Fall bucket list?

Cute! I LOVE that chunky gold necklace. The puffy vest layered look is adorable too. Somehow I feel like I never pull off the cute fall looks though. Maybe it’s just b/c I hate fall and just feel totally crotchety all season. lol.
I never feel guilty about spending my on girl-things. If I’m going to be washing dirty boy gym shots for the next 15 years, I deserve my designer hair spray.
Amen to this, sister!!
Love those boots!
boooooootttttssssss… I have many on my pinterest board. none of which i can actually afford. I need some “real people wallet” type boots… let me know where you find those!
