    OMG!!! that picture is awesome!!!

I wouldn;t trade my boy for anything in the world. I always wanted a boy first and I got just that. Someone to beat up the jerks my daughter brings home, with his Dad.

  2. Megan says:

No pink! or tutus, or hair bows, etc. Sometimes seeing little girls all decked out makes me want to vomit.

  3. Brittany says:

Oh Em Gee that picture is the best, ever! I am a proud boy mom too!

  4. Being the Mom of 3 boys, I could add thousands of things to this list. I love ALL the things on your list, too. Being a boy Mom rocks!

The photo is super!!! I love it! I had several moments like this happen, but never caught them on a photo. Priceless.

  5. Kristin says:

I have 2 boys as well (very close in age to your 2) I would add that trucks are way easier to get out of their packages than Barbies….Seriously does the hair need 4 of its own little clips to keep it in place?

  6. Sarah says:

Love this and I LOVE being a boy mommy! Always wanted a boy first and I go one. I would add:

    - Plaid shorts are the cutest thing ever on little boys
    - LESS whining, hands down…I don’t care what anyone says
    - no screaming that can wake the dead…that high pitch girl shrill gives me the heebs
    - I’ll take trucks and tractors over Barbies and Dora any day!

    Among many more!

  7. Myndee says:

Very cute list. And number four brought a tear to my eye. Damn pregnancy hormones!!

  8. Jackie says:

Love this!! I am a boy mom and am so glad!! I have a blast with my son!

  9. My boys are 23 and 26 but I am so with you on all of these!!! Less drama—so much less drama—than my friends who had girls have gone through! Could not imagine it any differently. And looking forward to the daughter in law relationship where I can experience, hopefully, a more sane girl relationship!!!

  10. Stephanie says:

I have to admit, having a boy is a lot of fun. I have 3 kids, but only one is a boy and I am so glad to have him. Funny thing is that he’s the quiet and gentle kid of the crowd, which gets interesting when he has friends over who expect that he’ll want to play rougher than he likes. He’s figuring out how to cope, however.

That is one great picture. Reminds me of the warning my husband’s cousin gave us when our son was born – never yawn while changing a boy’s diaper.

  11. I love that when my boy wants mama, HE WANTS MAMA. We have this rocking horse that neighs and it scares James, so sometimes I turn it on so I get those super clingy cuddles! Shh… don’t tell!

  12. ashley says:

jeans and t-shirts. ‘Nuf said! It doesn’t matter to boys if they match. Doesn’t matter if they accessorize. Everything in the drawer matches! No worrying about skirts with shorts/tights underneath. no messing with hair….jeans and t-shirts ! And yes, overalls!

  13. B.J. says:

I don’t have boys but I agree with #7. Having two girls, trying to clean up poo out of various crevices can be a pain. :P

  14. Melinda says:

I have a boy & girl, and I have a much easier time finding clothes for my boy. Maybe it’s just me?

  15. Audrey says:

I’m boy Mom…2 boys ages 3 and 1. This list was perfect. I love dressing my boys like their Daddy (shoes too).

  16. Megan says:

    WORD.

  17. Jamie says:

LOVE this! There is so much less pressure when it comes to dressing my little guys for the day. I love that!

  18. Marianne says:

Having 3 boys, I know I will always be the prettiest.

At least I hope so. (:

  19. Deborah (dramafreemama) says:

You nailed it! I’m a boy mom too, and will find out in exactly 21 days if baby #2 is another boy, or someone I can actually relish in shopping for! I came upon your blog via twitter and I love it. Keep it up, silly lady. One thing I might add about why being a boy mom rocks is that peeing in public (for them) is not nearly as questionable. You don’t need the TP triangle of power.
