The 5 month post.

The Froggy turned 5 months old last weekend.

Oh. Mai. Gawd.

When did this happen?! When did he go from newborn to chubby smiley rollypolly baby?! Yeah. I have no idea either.

Some fun five month facts:

The Froggy is 16lbs now … and 26″ long (such a big boy!).

He’s reaching for toys, and holding on to some things (he loves his taggies!). He is also a big fan of looking in the mirror at himself … which he gets from his Daddy. ;)

He is at my most favoritefavoritefavorite baby age … when they’re cuddly, and sweet, and just want to roll around on the floor and grab their feet all day long.

And just for kicks (and because I can’t help myself), a comparison of the Mouse and the Froggy:

I see a lot of similarities, and a lot of differences. What do you think?

The Mouse continues to be an awesome big brother. He dotes over the Froggy just as much as I do … and when I’m busy with the Froggy he goes and gets his baby doll so we can take care of babies together. It’s super adorable! That being said, he is NOT a happy camper when the Froggy wakes him up in the middle of the night … say, 330am.

From one room:
‘MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! BABY BROTHER WOKE ME UP!!!!!!!!!!’

From the other:
‘WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Fussfussfussfussfuss. WAHHHHHHHHH! Fuss. WAHHHHHHHH!’

From our room:
‘OMG why did we have have kids again? We should have just bred Dachshunds or something.’

From the first room:
‘DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! BABY BROTHER STILL WAKIN’ ME UP!!!’

So, you know. At least we’re all miserable together at some point during the night.

    He’s a cutie! He’s 26″ long, not 36″, right? Otherwise I’d say he’s a GIANT baby, not just a big one. ;-)

  2. Wiley says:

36 inches must be a typo! I actually pulled up growth charts on that one!

  3. Wiley says:

I’ve got a seven-month-old who was born 2.5 months early and so I know he’s small, but he’s 24.25 in length and I just couldn’t imagine him being a foot shorter!

  4. Just beautiful pictures. What a cutie

  5. Victoria says:

I loved when my Monkey was 5 months, but 6 was my favourite. He’s almost 7 now and starting to move so the full babyproofing has begun!

    ZOMG! That smile slays me!

There are definite differences. Froggy’s face is a bit chubbier (in a cute way, of course). But man, those two DO look a lot alike!

  7. SO stinking cute!!!

  8. Mama G says:

Awww he is so sweet! I think he looks a lot like his brother, definitely.

  9. Jet says:

    CUTE! Happy 5 months!

And yes, I see similarities between the two boys. You can tell they’re siblings! :)

  10. Bre says:

ok so tell me more about these taggies blankets. i’ve seen them but they’re all homemade and i’m not an artsy craftsy person. but whenever i give addy (she turned 5 months on the 28th) a stuffed toy she turns it over and eats the tag. if she’s on a blanket she scoots to the tag to eat it. what is that about?!

and the 5 month pic is toooooo cute!

Aww, thanks Bre! Tag blankets are awesome for babies who are starting to learn how to hold on to things. If you go to Etsy.com and search ‘tag blanket’ you’ll come up with about a million of them to pick from. Or, you can make your own if you can sew straight lines (like me, lol). Here’s a REALLY EASY TUTORIAL you can follow. GL!

  11. Such a cutie boy! Happy 5 months
