As always, I’m a few days late to this post. It only dawned on me today that the Froggy turned 16 months 3 days ago.
I can not even tell you how fast the month of June flew by for our family. I PROMISE I was just changing my calendar from May to June, and all of sudden, next week is the week of July 4th. HUH? This whole ‘growing up’ thing goes by waaaaaaaaay faster with subsequent kids … just an FYI, people. I mean, sixteen months? Wasn’t I just writing posts about SIX months?
On one hand the Froggy still wants a bottle of water every night at bed. I lay him down in his crib, and he takes hold of the bottle in one hand and his beloved Seahorse in the other. He kind of rolls over onto one side, and then he’s out. And incidentally, I’m thinking I’m going to have to start being tough momma and weaning him of the bottle because he doesn’t even drink it. I think he mostly uses it as a pacifier and then goes to sleep. Weird.
On the other hand, dude is 16 months old and for the most part, refuses to eat any food unless he’s using a fork. And he DOES use the fork. One day he wanted one to hold in his highchair, the next, he was eating with silverware. I am baffled by this. It still have to coax the Mouse to use silverware on a regular basis.
And while I don’t have really great comparison photos of both of the boys for this month, I’m going to post this one just for the helluvit.
Are you kidding me with this photo? Look at how little and sweet he is! And now he’s all grown up and watching Power Rangers on my iPad and reading Star Wars books before bedtime. Both of those are completely different posts though.
Isn’t it hilarious about the silverware. LB did the exact same thing. He had to hold one in his highchair one day; the next he was eating with it. Butter STILL doesn’t it all the time.

I don’t blame you for not cutting his hair yet… i love the curls!! i had those curls when i was little, my mom cut them and they never came back!!
Both of your boys are just precious! I can’t believe the Froggy is already 16 months. I’m getting ready to write Jackson’s 15 month post and it is so surreal!
Random question…where did you get Froggy’s red water bottle that he’s holding in the picture on the pool chair? We have one from Gavin and Hudson is obsessed with it. It’s the only thing other than a bottle that he’ll drink out of and I cn’t find them anywhere. I looked at BRU because that’s where I got the original one and they don’t seem to carry them anymore.
