14 Months and counting …

This past Monday, the Froggy turned 14 months old.

14months

Y’all … this kid. I just don’t even know what to do with him these days. I can’t get over the fact that he’s not a baby anymore … that he now a toddler. He chases after his big brother and the pug all over the place. He’s mastered climbing up his little slide in the backyard and has now moved on to attempted to climb up the new big slide. I know it’s only a matter of time before he’s trying to climb up the actual swing set.

It’s a good thing we still have good health insurance, lol.

Fun facts about the Froggy these days? He’s still pretty attached to his bottle … although he only gets a one or two that actually have milk in them. Maybe one of these days we’ll find a sippy that suits him, but for the time being, I’m okay with him staying as ‘babyish’ as possible. He is, however, still taking one to bed {with water} and it’s killing me. I really want to get him off this need to have something to go to bed with.

The kid will eat pretty much anything you put in front of him. He’s absolutely obsessed with any kind of ball. He’s talking more at 14 months than the Mouse did at 18 months … and even though I keep trying, I don’t think he’ll ever sign. His favorite song right now? Itsy Bitsy Spider. It’s obscenely cute how he giggles when I make the ‘rain’ come down on top of him.

He also has a serious man-crush on his daddy these days. I guess since they’ve been spending so much time together, the preference is seriously leaning away from me and more towards the husband … which I have mixed feelings about, but know that this is just a phase. The Mouse went through tons of them. Every morning when he gets up we all hear, ‘Dada? Daaaaaada. Dada. DADA!’ It’s so super cute, and really, the husband eats it up. It’s kind of adorable on both sides.

I can not even imagine what the kid is going to be doing by the end of the Summer … and I can’t WAIT for the weather to warm up juuuuust a smidge so we can take these kids to the local splash park and turn them loose.

The ‘Boys of Summer’ will have an entirely new meaning to it.

What a cutie pie!!! Love his eyes in that first picture. I love watching froggy grow since he is just a few months older than Noah. I’m really looking forward to the summer too. The boys love water and last summer was super hard to bring Xander to the splash park or pool with a newborn. This year will be much easier and I know they will have a blast together.

I also love his eyes and expression in the first photo. What a darling!

  6. I love this age. He’s still the perfect combo of having that baby look, while also looking more like a big guy. He is just precious.
