Some of you guys who have been around for a while may have noticed that I’m not doing as many reviews and/or giveaways now as I did last year. I’m going to be honest, I put too much on my plate at the end of the year, signed up for too many things … and yeah, I got burnt out. I was tired. I put my foot down and said, NO MORE.
So for the past 2.5 months I’ve been turning down a lot of offers I’ve been sent … and then I got this email from a company I had never heard of. Zipit Bedding. Wait, what? What is this thing? So I went to their site and checked it out. You HAVE to watch this video.
No, it’s okay, watch the whole thing, it’s kind of a hilarious watch – I’ll wait …
Before you say anything, I want to remind you what/where the Mouse has been sleeping since CHRISTMAS.
Yes, that is a Lightning McQueen TENT in his room, and no, I am not making this up.
My first thought was: YES. This will be a way to get him BACK IN HIS BED. Back in his bed so I’m not tripping over tent poles ever day, and so I’m not trying to climb into a freaking bread box every night when I read him stories {because, you know, stories have to be in the tiny, toddler-sized tent as well … with a flash light}.
Then the box showed up. In all honesty, I didn’t know what to expect … but as I’m pulling this bedding out of the box I’m thinking, ‘Wow. This is nice!’ The comforter was soft, and plush … the sheets were bright and colorful … and the Mouse was SO excited. I made a big deal out of this being ‘big boy bedding’ and how it was like a sleeping bag, with lots of zippers, and best of all? A ‘super secret pocket for keeping your super secret special treasures in!!!!’ {insert preschooler GASP here}
The first thing that needed to be done was a spin in the washer/drier. The Zipit Bedding came with very clear instructions that you should keep both the sheet and comforter attached {zipped!} and run everything through the wash, as it might have gotten flattened during shipping. So wash it we did … and the Mouse pretty much stood watching the washing machine the entire time, lol. Once it was all dry and fluffy, we pulled it out and went to put it on his bed.
The Mouse has a full sized bed … so ‘making’ his bed? It never happened before.
IT DOES NOW.
Not only did he help me attach the fitted sheet to the mattress, he helped me get his pillow zipped into the new cool pillow case. The whole thing was done in less than two minutes. No, I’m serious. TWO minutes. And the next weekend when I took everything off to wash it again? I pretty much just lifted the corner of the comforter and pulled … and the whole thing came off, just like that. I unzipped the pillow case, and BAM! Everything was in the washer in less than 90 seconds flat.
And yes, the Mouse loves it. He loves all of the zippers, and he ESPECIALLY loves the super cool pockets on either side that he can stuff toys into for safe keeping at night. He usually doesn’t sleep with the whole thing zipped up … HE says it’s because he gets hot. MOMMY knows it’s because it’s harder for him to get out of bed 348949584859547028 times as he puts off bedtime each night, lol.
I still need to get him a dust ruffle … but it’s easier to chase the dust bunnies without one, right? The colors match his room really well though
Getting a pillow into it’s case has never been so easy. Promise.
Close up of the outside zipper … zipit and GO.
Aaaaand the most important feature, the super secret pocket for holding super cool stuff!
So. To recap … things I love about Zipit Bedding?
How amazingly EASY it is to both put on, and strip from the bed when needed.
The quality – is really impressive.
The cute little pockets, that I promise you all kids will love, lol.
The only thing that I was concerned about at first were the little fuzzballs that I found on the comforter after washing for the first time … but these came off really easily with a lint brush and haven’t since reappeared.
I’m also hoping that as the company grows, they’ll offer more colors/designs … although the navy works out perfectly in the Mouse’s room, so it wasn’t an issue for us!
Now to the fun part …

Cool
So cool! I hate making beds!
Love the commercial – too funny! Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?
This will be such a time saver!
That is neat! I’d love to win a set for Cole.
We just switched the boys to their toddler beds. This will be great when we get them new beds for their birthday!
I love this! I would love to win a pair for my little monkey at home who kicks his sheets off every night!
how neat….it would make those “mommy, i had an accident!” midnight changes much easier as we’re trying to night train!
That is utterly fascinating. And I love the video. My 4.5-year-old has a brilliant bed making solution. He sleeps on a full and he simply sleeps on top of the comforter with a lovey! Punk, we should try this.
I like the fact that it keeps the covers ON the kid. Jack loves to toss his covers (just like Mommy) and then gets all pissy at 3 am when he is cold.
That’s neat!
what a great product!!! Fantastic review!
I love the “secret pocket”. The boys would stuff EVERYTHING they could in there!!
I love how easy it appears to make the bed and disassemble the bed! I have one question though… you said the mouse doesn’t like to be fully zipped in at night, if the zipper is not zipped, isn’t uncomfortable if they roll over onto it, or lay on it? Or is it out of the way enough that that is not a problem?
Great question Kaylin – the zipper is on the SIDE of the mattress though. There’s no way for them to roll over on it at night and hurt themselves
I have never seen anything like this before, it looks awesome!! Kaden calls us in his room 10 million times a night to fix his blanket. Problem solved!
It’s definitely a great idea, but if I were the Moms who invented it I would definitely consider branching out as far as patterns go and removing the 500 “ZIPITS” off the design. That is reason enough for me not to buy their current product. I was definitely impressed with the price though! I would totally pay $60 for that!
Love it! Especially the secret pocket
Neat Product!
i love that it will keep my child covered up at night- especially when it is cold – the covers come off them and then they are cold

The side pockets are awesome!
Interesting!! Would love to try it!
I am most excited for the easy zip up and the little pocket. My little guy brings toys to bed every night and puts them under his pillow, this would be much more fun for him! More comfortable I’m sure too!
How easy it is to change the sheets! i feel like I’m washing the kids sheets 3-4 times per week, making this easier is always a plus!
Um, I love that’s it all one piece in the washer!!!
I love that this looks easy to wash!
Totally want one.
I love that it’s all one piece too!
I love the sleeping bag feature, my kid doesn’t stay under the blankets!
love that it keeps the covers on the child….my daughter loves kicking the sheets off
I’m most excited that it looks like even my little one can do it on his own!
I would like this for me! I love being all snuggly/cozy in my bed! lol.
I love that you can zip them into bed. We are thinking of moving my daughter from her crib to a big girl bed, but I am stressing about the in and out of bed situation.
I love how the comforter zips to the bed…..easy for my 3 year old
very cool! the boys have bunk beds- this would be a life saver!
I love the side pockets! And the fact that it’s “Mom-invented!” yep, I was paying attention and looked at the website.
This is awesome the bed will be so easy for the kid to make!
Best video ever! Ha! This is a great idea…would LOVE one!
I love that the sheet and the comforter come apart, as I would likely wash the sheet more often than the comforter part, as I wouldn’t want it to wear out too quickly.
Live this and your blog!!
WANT!
I like the side pockets
Love the colors. The secret pocket would come in handy for hiding a light saber.
I love that it makes the bed look put together and made easily. I can’t stand having the sheets all a mess and my daughter practically pulls everything off every night.
I like that it would keep my son from kicking his covers off at night
Love that it makes making the bed soooo easy!
This is very interesting to know about the bedding. I am glad I visited here and gathered a huge resource. I will definitely look forward to it.
