I was super excited to be contacted by Philips Avent a while back about testing out a couple of their newer sippies. We’ve used Avent bottles for both of the boys {in fact we’re STILL using their bottles with the Froggy somewhat, sigh} and loved them, so I jumped at the chance to see what their toddler line was like.
Avent sent over two of their cups for the Froggy to test out.
The first one we tested out was the ‘toddler spout cup‘. These sippies come in two sizes, in a hard and soft spout variety {we tested out the hard spout}. I’m going to be honest, this guy was a hit. Avent sent me one, and I’ll be going out to buy a few more. Here’s what I liked about it:
1. We really didn’t have much of a leaking issue … which is the whole point of a sippy, right? If it’s going to leak all over you {or your kid} you might as well just toss it.
2. You can use it with, or without handles. Right now, the Froggy kind of likes the handles, but if for some reason your kiddo doesn’t? Just take ‘em off. No biggie.
3. Dishwasher safe. BAM. This is kind of a must for me.
4. It comes with this nifty lid that you can leave on the cup, and then close to cover the spout, or … take off completely. I like options.
5. Measuring lines on the side. For all of those out there who have a touch of the OCD, like me.
Avent also sent over one of their natural drinking cups as well.
THIS THING IS GENIUS. Okay, it’s a little advanced for the Froggy right now … he really still needs a spout. But I am sooooo hanging on to this bad boy for 6 months from now. See the disk in the middle? Your kiddo takes a sip off the lip of the cup {just like they would from a ‘normal’ cup} and when they do, their top lip pushes that disk down, allowing the liquid to come out. Helping kids learn how to drink without a spout? GENIUS. Love it. I can’t wait until he’s ready to use it.
Another thing I’m loving about the entire Avent line? All of their new bottles/sippies have interchangeable parts. Want to put handles on your bottle? Go for it. Want to put the hard spout on the bottle? DO EEEET. On a personal note, before I was even offered this review we had purchased a couple of Avent’s twist lid straw cups as well. The Froggy is juuuuust starting to ‘get’ the whole straw thing, but if you wanted, you could pop the twisty straw top off and stick it on one of the other cups as well. Which, let’s face it, is amazing when your baby is screaming for a sippy and you’re pawing through 20438750284043284 different kinds of sippies trying to find a cup and lid that go together. Am I right?
Wanna try all this awesomeness out for yourself? You betcha do! Philips Avent has very generously offered up the cup of their choice to a Froggy & the Mouse reader. Wanna win? Check out the Rafflecopter entry widget below. Good luck!
I received two super amazing sippies from Philips Avent for review purposes, but no other compensation. All opinions are my own. Mine. You can’t have them.

I’ve never seen the straw one; I would love to try it out with my little guy!
DEFINITELY need that toddler cup. Every time I try to teach Jack to drink from a regular cup it ends up in his lap. And then he’s chewing on sucking on his shirt. Not the least bit attractive :/
The straw cups were a hit with my almost 4 year old so I would want to go the straw route with my son probably
The drinking cup you reviewed sounds awesome. My daughter loves drinking like a big girl, but struggles with not spilling all over her self.
I think the drinking cup would be best since he already likes to drink from my cup.
I’d love to try out the drinking cup one !
I think the drinking cup would be great or the straw one. Evie didn’t like their sippies much but loves a straw so I am sure she would love that one!
I would love to try the drinking cup
I would love to try the natural drinking cup for both my 16 month old and my almost 3 year old!!
My 1 year old loves straw cups right now, and the avent ones are so cute
I have an about-to-be-weaned 10 month old (exclusively breastfeeding) and two toddlers who still drink out of straw cups so I am interested in both of those cups!
I think the spout cup 200ml in pink would be perfect for my daughter transitioning from a bottle

Ummm. I kinda need that drinking cup!! I’d love to skip over sippies entirely this time around and that cup is brilliant!!
I love the natural drinking cup! That’s such a cool idea and perfect for that in-between stage to help transition them to real drinking cups!
I think the straw cups would work the best for us!
I would love to try the spout sippies, I think they would work great for Hudson as he’s getting rid of the bottle.
That’s a great drinking cup. I love that it is spoutless….I bet my little guy would be all over that one in a few months.
I really want to try that drinking cup, I only 1/2 believe it would spill all over, I have to try for myself.
I think the drinking cup is fab!! Do you think it is in stores yet? I could use all the bottles that are not getting any use but are still taking up cabinet space.
I love the natural drinking cup sippy! Payton always wants to drink out of cups like her big brother but I know if I give her one she will just spill it everywhere!
I would love to have my little guy try out the natural drinking cup. Whenever we drink out of a cup he always wants to try so this would be great!
I would love to try the one that teaches them to drink from a natural cup. We are at that stage right now and could totally use this.
I’m just getting my son started with these so I think the best to try right now would be the soft spout 200ml.
I love the natural drinking cup. Cole is in a phase now where he doesn’t want to drink out of a cup with a lid, so this would be a good middle ground.
I love the Spout Cup Toddler Spout
do they have one with a straw?
I would love to try the drinking cup with my little guy when he is older.
I would love to try the natural drinking cup
