It’s consignment sale season!

‘It’s the most wonderful tiiiiiiiime of the year! …’

It’s August! That means it’s officially time for the bi-annual Divine Consign consignment sales! If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you know that:

a) I absolutely love me some consignment sale shopping
b) I absolutely love me some cleaning out the house and consignment sale SELLING
c) I always find TONS of awesome deals at these sales … and usually come home with quite a haul.

I first heard about @divineconsigntx when the Mouse was around 6 months old, I think. Someone in my mommy group sent us an email letting us know about Divine Consign and their ‘first time moms’ pre-sale. So we all lined up, not really knowing what to expect … and OH. MAI. GAWD. This is what we saw when we walked in:

It was, AMAZING. Baby clothes, shoes, books, toys, strollers, bouncers, cribs, high chairs … as far as the eye can see. I’ve come home with clothes for the Mouse by GAP, Janie & Jack, Gymboree brand new with tags, at up to 90% off. Seriously, you can’t beat that.

On top of amazing prices, you get amazing quality. The founders of this sale are VERY strict on what they put out on their sales floor. If it’s dated, worn out, stained, or not in season … they yank it before the sale even opens. If it’s battery operated with no batteries? Yanked. If its been recalled? Yanked. I know when I’m shopping that I don’t have to spend time worrying about coming home with less than stellar quality items for my kids.

And the best part about Divine Consign? They’re good people. Hundreds (maybe even thousands) of items that don’t sell at the sales are donated to the Denton County Friends of the Family, a women’s and children’s shelter. As a consignor, once I tag those items I want to sell and place them on the sales floor … I’m done with them. They either sell or they don’t … I’m not bringing items I don’t need back into my already cluttered home. I absolutely love that they get donated to an organization that absolutely needs every single one of them. I also absolutely love that I don’t have to deal with the donating part … Divine Consign does it all for me.

These are the kind of hauls I’ve come home with in the past.

I think the most I’ve ever spent at a sale was around $125. The best deal I’ve ever found? An Ergo baby carrier for $10. Yes, you read the correctly, TEN DOLLARS. Since I’m now shopping for both the Mouse and the Froggy, I’ll probably take around $200 with me to the sale coming up in a few weeks. That should cover clothes, Halloween costumes, any toys I find that might work for Christmas gifts, and hopefully a Fisher Price Space Saver highchair (or something like it).

So. Who wants to go shopping with me? :)

Since I love this sale so much, and have been going to them for the past 3 years now (and also because I pretty much stalk them online and probably annoy the crap out of them!), my friends Stephanie and Tina have graciously offered up two passes to shop at the Divine Consign pre-sales coming up in a few weeks! TWO lucky LOCAL Froggy & the Mouse readers will win one wristband (that gets you into the 4pm presale) and a $10 giftcard to shop (courtesy of ME!).

Remember, it’s kind of imperative you live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area (or close by, if you’re willing to drive for awesome shopping!) to enter. If you do, check out the rules below and please leave me a comment for EACH entry:

MANDATORY ENTRIES:
1. Check out the Divine Consign’s page, and let me know if you would like to shop at their Grapevine or Plano sale.
2. Follow The Froggy & the Mouse via Google Friend Connect.

OPTIONAL ENTRIES:
1. Follow Divine Consign on Facebook.
2. Follow Divine Consign on Twitter.
3. Follow Froggy & the Mouse on Facebook.
4. Follow ME on Twitter.

Good luck DFW shoppers! The winners will be announced one week from today!

Want to shop Divine Consign early without worrying about winning a pre-sale band from Froggy & the Mouse? Volunteer! That’s what I do to get in early before all the good stuff gets swiped! Find out more about volunteering and pre-sales HERE.

I received 2 wristbands for pre-sale shopping at Divine Consign for my readers at no cost. Gift cards for the winners will be provided by myself. I received no other compensation for this review, and all opinions are my own.
