Divine Consign consignment haul

It’s that time of year again – it’s consignment sale season! And once again, I {okay, my KIDS} made out like a bandit.

The haul.

Clothes for the Mouse

4 pair PJs
6 pair shorts
10 tees
2 tanks
2 polos
1 button up shirt
1 pair khakis
1 pair water sandals (Speedo – brand new)
2 pairs flip flops
1 pair boat shoes (Sperrys – brand new)

Clothes for the Froggy

1 pair khakis
1 pair jeans
1 tee (American Apparel – brand new)
1 polo onesie – GAP
1 romper – Gymbo
1 pair loafers

Other stuff

1 froggy hooded towel
2 DVDs
5 books
4 Thomas trains/cars for the set he already has (brand new in boxes, for the Easter basket)
Leap Frog maracas (for the Easter basket)

For the neice

1 romper (Janie & Jack)
1 ruffled shirt/leggings
1 dress/bloomers (ON)
1 flamingo bathing suit (Gymbo)

Total spent? {drumroll please}

$158!

Between what I sold at the sale in Grapevine, and what I bought a month later at the sale in Plano, I actually came out $10 ahead this season {something that NEVER happens, lol}. This was the first sale that I didn’t come home with a carload of toys, or play equipment either. It was really hard to resist the temptation, but I just got rid of SO much at the earlier sale, I hated to just bring a whole bunch of ‘new’ stuff back into the house.

Things I didn’t find? Not much. The Mouse is going to need a good pair of tennis shoes for the Summer … and they’ll both probably need some more PJs {you can’t EVER have enough PJs in my opinion}, but other than that? These kids are TOTALLY set for this Spring/Summer. I mean really, I wish I had the wardrobes that they have going for themselves right now.

The Froggy’s stuff {is that not the cutest tee EVER?!}

I couldn’t NOT shop for my niece, seriously.

My favorite ‘steal’ from the trip?

BRAND NEW Sperrys – for $10. The Mouse is going to ROCK them for Easter!

Have I convinced you yet that consignment shopping is the way to go? Looking for one near you? Here’s a great site where you can shop for sales in your neck of the woods!

Happy shopping!

Your post last fall talked me into it and I hit a consignment sale this weekend too, got a double umbrella stroller (Jeep) a picnic table with umbrella, a see-saw, and an activity cube along with 4 outfits for each boy, and a windbreaker each (NIke) for $100, I was pretty happy! Glad you made out this weekend too!

Nice haul!!! So far I have resisted the urge to shop since I was able to get so much at clearance last summer for bot kids. I do need Easter stuff for them though so I will probably look at next weeks sale. i.e.- sale #3 out of 5 for me.

I kinda hate you for finding those Sperry’s. :) I think I’ll do a post on my experience, too. I’m a true believer in the consignments. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE consignment season(s)!!! I just shopped one this past weekend and this Saturday is my favorite one in our area where I volunteer to get to shop early (6am!) so I can get first dibs on all the best stuff. I got my son 4 (FOUR!!) Ralph Lauren polo shirts ($4 and $5 each) last weekend and my daughter this adorable Ralph Lauren dress for only $5. I still need jammies for the little man and shoes. Those Sperry’s are ADORABLE!! So fun! Loved seeing the pics of all the stuff you scored. :)
