I absolutely LOVE finding new blogs to add to my BlogLovin feed. Do we all know about BlogLovin? I have tried soooo many blog readers, and it really is my favorite. Easy to add blogs too, easy to read, and you get to see the WHOLE SITE when you read, and not just that particular post’s content. Love.
Anywho – I love getting to add to it. If nothing else, BlogHer12 was a great experience just because I became aware of so. many. new. sites that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I must have added over 20 new URLs to my reader the week after. I’m also a big fan of finding new reads through Pinterest. Pinterest is great because it usually leads me to sites that aren’t necessarily within my same niche – which makes for interesting reads.
All of this being said, I’m starting a weekend post series on new sites that I’ve found and love. And mayyyyyybe, if you guys like it enough, I’ll start a linkup as well.
For my first post, I’d like to introduce you to a genius seamstress and designer I found on Pinterest, Merrick, from Merrick’s Art. After stalking her blog for a while this morning, Merrick’s specialty seems to be taking old or used clothing, and updating to make it look new and trendy.
She posts really easy tutorials with lots of photos showing how she makes her awesome creations. My favorite so far is her ‘Polo Refashion’ – which lets be honest, is super cute and makes me want to go raid my husband’s side of the closet. LOVE.
